Power company is investigating power cuts in March area

UK Power Networks has apologised to residents in the March area after a series of power cuts this afternoon (Friday).

Distruption has been reported in March, Doddington, Wimblington, Manea and Benwick among other places.

In Manea there has been as many as seven power failures since lunchtime.

Posting on their website UK Power Networks said: "We are aware of power cuts in the area. We're sorry for any disruption this may be causing you.

"We are working to give you a more specific time for when your power will be back on. As soon as we get an update from our engineers we will display a time.

"We're currently investigating a fault on the electricity network which has caused a power cut in the local area.

"This information is updated in real-time and is the same information that you will receive if you call us."
