March brothers Kieran and Paddy Beart handed prison sentences after phone messages uncover drug enterprise

A drug dealing operation run by two brothers was uncovered after the pair were arrested in connection with a burglary.

Kieran Beart, 27, and Paddy Beart, 20, were both handed prison sentences at Peterborough Crown Court on Friday for a number of offences.

It came after the pair from March had their phones seized and downloaded when they were arrested on suspicion of the aggravated burglary on June 23, 2023.

No further action was taken regarding the burglary, however, officers found messages on both mobiles relating to drug dealing.

The phone belonging to Kieran, of Deerfield Road, contained messages between November 17, 2022 and June 23, 2023 which showed he offered a range of deals in the town, from 0.3g up to multi-kilo amounts costing thousands of pounds.

His 21-year-old partner Kimberley Cox, of Campbeltown in Scotland, was also implicated as buyers were given her bank details for payment.

The younger brother Paddy, of Creek Road, had data which revealed he arranged to purchase kilos of cannabis and organised runners to supply the drugs.

Kieran was handed a five-year prison sentence after admitting to being concerned in the supply of cocaine, ecstasy, ketamine, cannabis, and acquiring criminal property.

Paddy was given two-years and eight months in prison after he admitted to being concerned in the supply of cocaine, cannabis, and acquiring criminal property.

Cox will serve a one-year community order and pay a £500 fine for acquiring criminal property.

Detective Sergeant Rich Ellison said: “Thanks to the phone data taken from their phones, we have been able to disrupt the supply of drugs in Fenland.

“Drug dealing and the associated criminality can significantly affect the community, and I urge anyone with information or concerns to report it to us.”
