Pupils' coffee morning pours in the cash at Meadowgate Academy for Macmillan charity

Meadowgate Academy in Wisbech held a coffee morning recently to raise funds for the local Macmillan charity.

The event was organised by the Bramley’s team at the school, led by student Alex Bibb, who presented the cheque for £376.30 to Linda Herring, Adele Wright and Alan Smith from the local branch of the Macmillan charity in assembly.

The school would like to thank the support given by parents, carers, staff and students who baked, donated and bought a fabulous variety of cakes for the event.

Also a big thank you to the Bramley’s team, with support from class 6A for organising, promoting and hosting the event. Students were able to practice their customer service skills in practice for their hospitality qualification.
