Radio presenter scares shoppers
Living art works gave shoppers a fright during a special event in Lynn town centre.
KLFM morning presenter Christopher Dean scared people passing by the Select window after a monstrous make-over by artist Amanda Hughes.
Make-up artist Miss Hughes had spent hours transforming the presenter into a ripped zombie ready to spook shoppers.
The Clenchwarton artist also had the task of making up Vicky Townsend, Justine Cotton and Carly Hain as part of the promotional event.
But sadly the weather put a dampner on things so Miss Hughes and the girls returned on Sunday with a different vintage theme.
Miss Hughes specialises in creative make up and body painting, has recently started up her own business.
She said: “I finished Chris at 11.30am and as we walked up to Select, he attracted a lot of attention.
“People would be walking past him in the window and Chris would scare them.
“People were stopping to look at what was going on and it created quite crowd.
“We had a really positive response.”
Following on the event, Miss Hughes has received a lot of interest.
She said: “People really did enjoy it.
“There was a lot of interest from mums with babies and baby bumps along with mother and daughter photo shoots to night clubs.
“It was brilliant for me to be able to talk to members of the public.
“I was really pleased with how it went. I would like to do it again in Peterborough, Cambridge or Bury St Edmunds where they have covered shopping areas.”
Miss Hughes, who also offers character make-up along with body paint, will also be offering workshops. She will be running workshops in Great Yarmouth next month.
She said: “I am really passionate about it and would love to be able to pass on my skills to other people who are creative as well.
“Once you start body painting it can be quite addictive.”
