The residents, family and friends of Norwood Avenue in March held a Street Party on Sunday(5) to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee.

The weather was not kind but it did not dampen the spirits of the 60 people attending.

The Mayor of March Kim French marked the start of the party by lighting a beacon.

The event was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, the youngest just one years old to the oldest 93 years old.

Colin Bedford, one of the organisers, said: "It was so nice for the street to come together again especially after the covid restrictions. There was lots of laughter and reminiscing and the making of new memories."
