Reward for safe return of stolen Yorkie Miley taken from a van in Wisbech
A heartbroken couple are offering a reward for the safe return of their dog after she was stolen from a parked van.
Miley, the Yorkshire Terrier, was taken between 3pm and 4pm on Sunday from the van which was parked in Churchill Road, Wisbech.
Her owner Charis Wilson, who lives in Lowestoft, explained her boyfriend Woody Dethridge, is currently working in the Wisbech area and had literally left three-year-old Miley for less than five minutes while he went to pick up a take away.
She said: "We are just praying she will be found safe and well and we are offering a good reward to get her back. We just hope a miracle happens."
Woody said: "Unfortunately the van was unlocked because the alarm would have kept going off with the dog inside if it was locked. I really didn't think anything like this would happen. I was litterally gone for four or five minutes."
Miley, who was wearing a pink and grey onesie and a pink harness, was spotted in the carriageway of Churchill Road by a number of drivers, and was then seen being picked up by a man who carried her off in the direction of the town's fire station.
Woody said: "She is really scared of people she doesn't know and she would have barked and barked. It is hard to believe someone would just take a dog out of a van like that.
"All we want is for the person who has taken her to do the right thing and hand her in, we want her back."
