As they navigated the course, they encountered a variety of obstacles and enthusiastic staff armed with water pistols, ensuring the event was as entertaining as it was colourful.

Reflecting on the event, Tom Driver shared: “It was a great way to end National School Sports Week 2024 and such an incredible experience for the children. I am sure they won’t be forgetting it anytime soon.”

Positive experiences like the Colour Run are integral to the well-rounded education provided at Peckover Primary School.

Such events not only promote physical activity, which is crucial for a child’s development, but also foster a sense of community, encourage teamwork, and create lasting memories that enrich students’ educational journeys.

Kate Kendal, the principal, expressed her delight at the day and said: “It was so wonderful to watch all the children and staff enjoying a physical activity altogether, with huge smiles on their faces. The more colour they had on them, the bigger their smiles were.”
