Wisbech Grammar School inviting former Wisbech High School for Girls students to 120th anniversary celebration




Wisbech Grammar School is inviting former students of Wisbech High School for Girls to a special celebration marking its 120th anniversary.

The event will take place on Saturday, May 17 at 1.30pm and will offer an afternoon of reminiscing, reconnecting and commemorating this significant milestone.

Founded in 1905, Wisbech High School for Girls was a cornerstone of education for young women in the Wisbech area for over 65 years until it merged with the Boys Grammar School in 1970.

The event will feature afternoon tea with a glass of prosecco and attendees will also have the opportunity to take a tour of the school and learn about the recent developments at the school. A special tree planting ceremony will also be held.

There will be a nominal attendance charge of £15 per person to cover the cost of the afternoon tea with prosecco and the cake for the 120th anniversary.

This event is exclusively for former Wisbech High School for Girls students and tickets are £15 each, available at www.wisbechgrammar.com/open-events or by calling the school on 01945 586750. Limited spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
