LEARN MOREMarch schoolboy Kobi Shafer will be shedding his long locks for charity later this summer is looking for sponsorship.
The 11-year-old who goes to Cavalry School has been growing his blonde hair for the last six months after being inspired by a programme featuring the work of the Little Princess Trust which provides wigs for children who have suffered hair loss.
His proud mum Claire explained Kobi realised his hair would probably not be long enough to go to the Little Princess Trust but decided to grow it and then have it shaved off for other charities.
He has chosen two, the RSPCA at Block Fen, Wimblington and Make a Wish Foundation. Claire said: "He loves animals which is why he has chosen Block Fen. He wants to help animals that haven't got a proper home. And he chose Make a Wish because he liked the idea of giving poorly children a treat like a special day out."
Kobi, who is Claire and husband Paul's only child, is having his head shaved by a family friend on August 3. To sponsor him visit Kobi's Gofundme page at: www.gofundme.com/
