Second ban for Wisbech builder caught drink driving
A Wisbech builder has been banned from driving for three years for a second time.
Miroslaw Dariusz Bielawski (43) has previously been disqualified for driving with excess alcohol in 2010 and failing to provide a sample in 2014.
He was stopped by police on January 6 this year after going through a red light on Railway Road in King’s Lynn. After failing a roadside breath test, Bielawski was arrested.
A later test in custody showed he had 48mgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath; the legal limit is 35. Bielawski, of Southwell Road, pleaded guilty to drink-driving.
Mitigating solicitor Rob New said: “In essence, he thought that he would be OK to drive – he’d had three pints of beer. He perhaps ought to be more aware.”
Bielawski was fined also £300 with £105 costs and £32 victim surcharge.
