Fenland secondary schools and colleges encouraged to enter free game design and development competition
The countdown is on for Fenland’s secondary schools, sixth forms and colleges to register for FXP Festival 2025, the county’s free game design and development competition.
With limited spaces remaining and the deadline fast approaching, organisers are urging all Cambridgeshire schools and colleges to secure their students’ places.
Taking place on July 7 and 8 at Cambridge Regional College, the festival offers students aged 12 to 19 a chance to dive into the world of game creation, exploring narrative development, coding and creative concept under the mentorship of top industry professionals.
Alison Taylor, FXP Festival Trustee, said: “FXP Festival is more than just a competition. It is a real-world experience that gives students the opportunity to apply what they’re learning in school in a meaningful, exciting way.
“The skills developed – problem solving, collaboration, communication and creative thinking – are vital across so many pathways in life, whether they pursue a career in games or not.”
Entry is completely free, with all materials and refreshments provided. Teams of four to five students can enter.
