Fenland policing team issue seven tickets for obstructive parking in March, Manea and Whittlesey

Police have been patrolling Fenland towns, issuing tickets to those who have parked unsafely.

Leaving a vehicle on a single yellow line during specified hours, on a junction and on the pavement in a way which puts pedestrians at risk are just some examples of obstructive parking which could result in motorists being issued a parking ticket like some were last week.

Last week, two Fenland Police community support officers were out and about in March, Manea and Whittlesey and issued a total of seven tickets.

A police spokesperson said: “Want to avoid returning to a ticket from us? There are plenty of free car parks and areas to park, even if it means you have to walk a little further to your destination.”
