Shoplifter runs straight into the arms of the law in Wisbech

LEARN MOREA shoplifter had a run of bad luck as they try to flee with items they had attempted to steal from a Fenland shop.
The local neighbourhood policing team were on duty in Wisbech town centre on Thursday (9) when the would-be thief ran straight into their arms as they attempted to make their get away.
Posting to the Facebook page the team said: "Your local Neighbourhood Policing Team were on duty in Wisbech town centre.
"It was unlucky for one person who decided to carry out a theft from Boots. Unlucky for that person as when they tried to run from the store with a handful of goods in their arms they ran straight into a neighbourhood officer who quickly arrested them and recovered the goods.
The person was arrested and taken to the police investigation unit at Kings Lynn. Enquiries are ongoing.
