Wisbech shops open again after lockdown

Several shops in Wisbech town centre re-opened today for the first time since the coronavirus-enforced lockdown in March.

Among those back in business were Robert Goddard and Fox's Cards, although several have decided not to open yet, including QD.

The town was not particularly full, however, and there was plenty of room in the car parks.

Julian Fox, of Fox's Cards on the Market Place, said: "I'm quite pleased and it was nice to see a lot of regular faces back. I'm a little bit disappointed there's not so many of the other shops open though.

"My message to the people of Wisbech is, 'come and support us, we are open'."
