Stolen mopeds recovered by police in Wisbech




In the past week, Fenland police have recovered two stolen mopeds in the Wisbech area.

The mopeds were reported stolen from the College of West Anglia, in Ramnoth Road, on Wednesday, September 11, and the Horsefair on Friday, September 13.

As a result of the thefts police have issued some tips on how to keep your machine safe:

Make sure it is secured using a variety of locks, including a chain lock through the back wheel

Remove the key when leaving it unattended, even for a short while

Security mark as much of the bike as possible – this makes it less attractive to steal as it is harder to sell on

Park in a well-lit area
