Stretch of A47 closed between Guyhirn and Wisbech after serious collision between car and bus

The A47 is closed between Guyhirn and Wisbech after a serious collision between a car and a bus on the Guyhirn roundabout.

The route from the B198 Cromwell Road to the A141 March Road (Guyhirn roundabout) is likely to be closed in both directions for some time, and the police advise motorists to take alternative routes.

The accident happened at around 2.28pm and it has been reported locally that the air ambulance was called out.

Traffic has been diverted with heavy congestion through local routes and buses also running late because of the delays.
