Students from Gail Burgess School of Ballet put on spectacular show at Neale Wade Academy in March
Three months of hard work paid off for 70 students from Gail Burgess School of Ballet in Chatteris when they put on a spectacular show.
Students from three years old to adults worked hard in class, learning and rehearsing for the school’s annual performance, at Neale Wade Academy in March.
The students performed many different dances, including some from The Wizard of Oz.
Gail said: “All the students were amazing on the day and loved taking part in the show. None of this could happen without all the help from parents who do an amazing job of looking after all the students and helping to run the show.
“It is a lot of hard work and takes six months to prepare for, but it’s worth it to see all my students perform on the stage.”
This year, the school was awarded a £500 grant from the Arts Council, which was used to buy new costumes for students to wear in the show. Some £400 was also raised from the show raffle and refreshments, which goes towards next year’s costumes and helps to keep costs down for parents.
