Sunshine brings out the crowds at RSPCA Block Fen open day




Saturday’s sunshine ensured a charity fun day’s success drawing in the crowds.

The RSPCA Block Fen Animal Centre’s open day including a fun dog show and was aimed at celebrating the centre’s 20th anniversary.

There were dozens of stalls including arts, crafts and cakes as well as food trucks.

For the younger visitors there were children’s games including hook a duck. There was also a raffle and tombola.

Setting the party atmosphere was live music throughout the day.

Many of the animals that are currently at the centre looking for a new home were also on show for people to meet.

Lots of those who went along afterwards took to social media and praised organisers and commented on a “fantastic day”.

One person posted: “Well done Block Fen – a huge success and a very enjoyable day.”

Another said they had spent the whole day at the event and another commented on the “many lovely craft stalls and fun events.”
