Former March police officer handed suspended prison sentence after admitting having indecent images of children




A former March police officer has been handed a suspended prison sentence after pleading guilty to offences involving indecent images of children.

Phillip Richardson (49) – now known as John Nicholls – appeared at Luton Crown Court today (Tuesday).

He was sentenced to 15 months in prison, suspended for 24 months, after admitting three counts of making an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child and two counts of distributing an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child at a previous hearing.

Richardson was arrested in May and dismissed by the force on July 3.
