Talent shines at 76th annual Doddington Village Summer Show
The Doddington Horticultural Society, were the organisers of the 76th annual Doddington Village Summer Show, and they were blown away with the talent that was on display in the show tent.
Judges had a difficult time choosing the winners for the various trophies and prizes up for grabs.
The day attracted huge crowds who not only enjoyed looking at all the produce, flowers, home made products and crafts entered into the vast array of classes, but also the various other attractions.
These included a dog show, a chance to have a go archery, short mats bowls, a display of vintage Steam Punk costumes, lots of fun games, a demonstration by blacksmeith Wil of Steel, and face painting.
Doddington Scouts served up tasty barbecue food while the Women’s Institute offering a slice of delicious home made cakes.
A spokesman for the society said: “Seventy-six years of Doddington Village Show and the talent of local people is simply amazing.”
The day ended with a night of dancing with a Ceilidh led by Abandon, which again proved a huge hit with villagers and visitors alike.
