Teenage boy, 16, caught drink driving in Wisbech

LEARN MOREA 16-year-old boy is among the latest people to be caught drink driving in Fenland.
Posting to their Facebook page Fenland's neighbourhood police team highlighted the latest incidents and said: "Fed up with hearing about drink drivers? We’re fed up with finding them! But that doesn’t mean we’re going to stop."
They then listed the latest offenders with the teenager among them.
He was caught yesterday (Sunday. He was charged with drink driving, taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, driving without a licence, and driving without insurance – all after he was spotted by officers driving without lights on at about 3am in March. He’s due to appear in court next month.
On Friday, two men (one aged 47 from Whittlesey, the other aged 24 from Wisbech) lost their licences after being caught in Fenland.
The Wisbech driver was stopped in the town after he nearly had a head-on collision with a marked police car and blew 60 (the legal limit is 35) – he’s lost his licence for 15 months and was fined £450
The other driver was stopped Whittlesey after police had a call from a member of the public concerned about the manner of driving – they were right to be worried, the driver blew 96 he’s lost his licence for 17 months and was given a £370 fine
