Teens arrested after woman was allegedly assaulted in Wisbech

Two teenage boys have been bailed by police following an alleged incident in Wisbech where a woman was allegedly threatened with a hammer and then assaulted.

A Norfolk Police spokesperson said: “Officers are investigating an attempted robbery in Wisbech last night (Wednesday January 12).

"The incident happened between approximately 5pm and 5.30pm on Elm High Road when the victim, a woman aged in her 20s was approached by two boys.

"The suspects reportedly threatened her, before assaulting her and attempting to steal her moped.

"Officers have arrested two boys, both aged in their teens, in connection with the incident. They have been released on police bail pending further enquiries."
