Share your memories of old Wisbech pubs

Fill in our form below to tell us about your favourite pub. We hope to then use them as part of a future story celebrating all the pubs that once stood in our town.

In November, we shared how author Andy Ketley was writing books about the hostelries of Wisbech.

At the time he recalled “I'd go round the pubs as a youngster in the late Sixties when they were buzzing and apart from my family's local, The Locomotive, they've almost all gone."

He would travel back from Wales every other weekend.

"It was never really about the beer, in those days it was Watney’s, pretty horrible stuff. It was the talk, the people, the landlords and landladies, the regulars, the teams. It still is.”
