March couple celebrate 65 years of marriage
A couple who met through their love of cycling have celebrated 65 years of marriage.
Maureen and Maurice Larham, who have lived in March all their lives, celebrated their Blue Sapphire anniversary on September 1.
The couple were married at St Johns Church, March on in 1956.
They have two children – Stephen, of March, and Christine who lives in Hampshire – seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Maurice worked as a carpenter before joining British Rail where he stayed until he retired.
Maureen had several different jobs before working as a lab assistant at Neale Wade Community College in March.
They met through their love of cycling and were members of the March Wheelers Cycling Club.
They often talk about their long cycling trips, sometimes as far as to Great Yarmouth and back.
They have enjoyed holidaying, both abroad and with their touring caravan, very often heading for the south coast. Caravan holidays often included the whole family.
They celebrated their big day quietly at home with a visit from family.
