This Wisbech eyesore has been given a clean sweep

Residents are celebrating after an eyesore dumping ground in a Fenland town has finally been given a tidy-up.

For over three years residents have had to put up with drug dealing, soliciting and rough sleepers on a derelict site at the corner of Park Street in Wisbech.

After lots of complaints the site has finally been cleared by the owner and the derelict building knocked down.

Citizen reader Emma Knight, who submitted these pictures of before and after the clear-up, said: “The tip on the corner of Park Street has finally been cleared and knocked down.

“After living here for three years and seeing it get worse and worse and people dealing and soliciting and even sleeping in there, I’m so happy it’s finally gone and we no longer have to put up with the eyesore.”
