Chatteris celebrates best-ever results at Anglia In Bloom awards

Volunteers are celebrating after Chatteris won Gold in the Anglia In Bloom Awards in Huntingdon.

The town was also the overall winner in the Town category as Chatteris In Bloom achieved its best-ever results at the awards, held at the Coneygear Centre on Tuesday.

There were also celebrations in the Best Care Home/Sheltered Housing category, which was won by The Gables in Park Street, Chatteris.

And there was Gold for Bramley House, High Street, in the Pub/Restaurant/Hotel section, where the Cross Keys Hotel in Market Hill was awarded a Silver Gilt.

Huntingdon Road Cottage Garden was shortlisted in the Best Public Open Space category, Chatteris Allotments Association was shortlisted for Best Grow Your Own and Grace Tomkinson (Coronation bus shelter) was shortlisted in Best Youth Project 12-18.

Chatteris also tied with Huntingdon for Best Overall Entry.
