Firefighters attend March blaze




Firefighters attended a blaze in Match on Tuesday afternoon.

Crews from March, Wisbech and the north roaming fire engine were called to Whitemoor Road at 4.08pm.

They arrived to find a fire involving conifer trees spreading to a derelict building.

Wearing breathing apparatus, they extinguished the fire using jets and hose reels. They returned to their stations by 8pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
