The charges all involve one complainant and span between June 28, 2020 and December 1, 2023.

Due to the severity of the charges, Boston Magistrates passed the case on to Lincoln Crown Court where Merrison today (Tuesday) appeared before Judge Simon Hirst for a pre-trial hearing.

Merrison was granted conditional bail until June 2, when his trial will begin at Lincoln Crown Court.
