Tributes paid to hard-working, fun-loving and motorbike mad Jack Green who sadly died in Wisbech on Sunday night

Floral tributes and lighted candles have been left at the spot where a young motorcyclist was killed on Sunday night.

Family and friends gathered yesterday (Monday) evening to pay tribute to 19-year-old Jack Green, who died following a collision at the junction of Elm Road with Churchill Road near the former Flowerpot pub.

Tonight friends and family of the motorbike loving teenager are planning a drive from Wisbech to Hunstanton in a cavalcade of motorcyclists.

They plan to drive by the site of the accident before heading to the coast in a trip that Jack had hoped to enjoy on his red Suzuki this summer

A memorial Facebook page has been set up by Jack's friends and family for people to post messages, pictures and to recount memories of the hard-working engineering worker.

Jack, who was busy saving for a mortgage to by a house with his childhood sweetheart Hannah Cornett, worked at Dawbarns and Sons in Harecroft Road, Wisbech.

His heartbroken older sister Hannah Chambers described her brother as a normal teenager: "cheeky, fun-loving and full of banter".

She said: "He never took anything too seriously, he was so energetic and just loved a laugh. But he was also very hardworking, he was determined to save for a mortgage so he could get a house with Hannah.

"He absolutely loved motorbikes, he was never interested in cars or learning to drive. He always just wanted a bike. He got a moped, then he wanted a bigger 125, and then he wanted another even bigger one - it was his dream."

Last night (Monday) Hannah and her family, parents mum, Natazha Chambers and dad Darren Green, gathered at the site for a the vigil which turned into a large gathering of friends.

Hannah said: "We went down to the site as it was just a place for people to go we never expected it to become so big, but it was comforting to see so many people turn out for Jack."

Tonight's trip to Hunstanton will begin at Tesco in Cromwell Road at around 6.30pm, where Jack and his friends liked to gather to talk about and show-off their bikes, before heading past the accident site at around 7.15pm, and on to the coast, with Hannah in her car leading the way.

Once at the seaside town the plan is to release red balloons in memory of Jack.
