Tricky job of judging begins in Fenland Business Awards 2024
Entries for the Fenland Business Awards 2024 are now closed – but there is still plenty to do behind the scenes as the judges set about choosing the finalists.
The judges in each of the categories will be reading through all the nominations received over the past few weeks and will be whittling them down to two or three finalists in each section.
Those chosen will be announced in the Fenland Citizen on Wednesday, February 21 – so make sure you keep an eye out to see who has been shortlisted.
Each finalist will be notified by email and they will also receive two free tickets to attend the awards black-tie gala dinner at the March Braza Club on Friday, March 15.
Extra tickets will be available to buy at £70 per person for finalists wanting to celebrate the event with colleagues, friends, and family.
The ticket price includes entry to the awards night, a drinks reception, a delicious three-course meal along with complementary table wine.
Once the finalists have been announced the category judges will have the even trickier task of choosing a winner.
To do this the judges will contact our finalists individually to arrange a time to visit them at their premises and to conduct a short and relaxed interview- they aim to find out as much information as possible and to get a real hands-on feel for the business.
Interviews will be carried out between February 15 and 26, so we ask our finalists to be as flexible as possible with their availability to ensure our judges can do their bit within the timeframe allocated.
These awards are being brought to you by Iliffe Media, publishers of the Fenland Citizen, for a second year.
Tickets for the gala night can also be purchased by anyone interested in coming along to help celebrate the best of business in Fenland, so even if you are not among those in the running for an award it would be good to see you there.
Top accountancy firm Whitings LLP is the headline sponsor again this year.
The awards night will kick off at 6.30pm with a drinks reception followed by the meal at 7pm.
There are 12 categories carrying awards for 2024 and the winners will be announced after dinner from around 9pm onwards on the night.
