TVS Group formed by combining Fenland firms SB Components and Priden Engineering with Scottish-based McPhee Mixers to serve major customers from sites across the UK and Europe
The formal launch today (Thursday) of The Total Vehicle Solutions (TVS) Group brings together three of the UK’s leading specialist manufacturing firms that deliver solutions for the commercial and industrial vehicle industry.
The combination of Wisbech-based SB Components and Priden Engineering, with Scottish firm McPhee Mixers, will create a powerful group, with annualised revenue of around £50 million.
The TVS Group can provide a wide range of market-leading services and products to major companies in a variety of sectors that use commercial and industrial vehicles. Each company in the group shares similar attributes, such as high-levels of technical expertise and best-in-class customer service in their respective industries.
Led by group managing director, James Warren, TVS Group will offer customers a ‘one-stop’ shop for manufacturing and other solutions from multiple sites including TVS Service Centres across the UK, and one in Holland. Each site is customer-focused to delivering the highest-quality products and services from across the group’s offering.
Each company will retain its brand and identity but will work together as part of the TVS Group. This collaboration will enable the companies to share premises, expertise, and broaden the range of products and services they offer to their customers. TVS Group is exploring potential acquisitions which will further strengthen its offer to customers.
SB Components is one of the UK’s leading supplier of bespoke components for commercial vehicles. SB Components is comprised of a number of divisions, aimed at meeting the needs of a range of customers within the commercial vehicle sector for the design, manufacture, including fitting of a wide range of commercial vehicle bodywork, to suit chassis from 3.5T to 32T, using proven designs, which combine strength, durability and weight saving.
Priden Engineering is one of the UK’s foremost engineering companies. Priden delivers bespoke engineering solutions including rigid bodied vehicles to full trailer configurations to major companies within the pneumatic vehicle industry across the animal feed sector.
McPhee Mixers a prominent UK designer and manufacturer of truck-mounted concrete mixer units, is based in Glasgow. The business is well-established as the leading UK supplier of concrete mixers to the construction and quarrying industry.
TVS Europe – with its sales outlet and service centre based in Barneveld, Netherlands, TVS Europe is now focused on offering the groups’ complete product range to both its European dealer network and end customer base.
The TVS Group is backed by Elaghmore Partners LLP, the UK-focused private equity firm, which is the ultimate owner of each company. For Elaghmore, the goal of the TVS Group is to enable the growth and commercial development of the three companies with Elaghmore providing financial and management support.
