Two men charged after reports of stabbing in Sutton Bridge




Two men have been charged after reports of a man being stabbed.

The incident is alleged to have taken place at Sutton Bridge on Friday night.

Mahmoud Ruswolpoor, 37, has been charged with an offence of grievous bodily harm with intent and Bzaf Abdullah, 20, has been charged with an offence of affray.

Both men have an address of Medlock Place, Boston.

“The charges follow a report of a man being stabbed and a fight on Bridge Road, Sutton Bridge on Friday,” a Lincolnshire Police statement said.

Both men were kept in custody and appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

A 28-year-old man, also arrested in connection with the incident, has been released without charge.

One man in his 20s was taken to hospital after the incident.

Police are also appealing for witnesses to the incident, which was reported to the force control room just after 7.50pm on Friday, reporting a fight on Bridge Road, Sutton Bridge, near The Curlew Centre.

“One man in his 20s has been taken to hospital with injuries we believe were caused by a knife,” said a Lincolnshire Police statement issued over the weekend. His condition is not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.”

“We are appealing for anyone who has any information or recorded footage of the incident to get in touch.”
