Unlucky 13 receive parking tickets on Friday the thirteenth in Wisbech

Thirteen drivers will be counting the cost of parking illegally after police carried out a purge in a Fenland town.

Friday the thirteenth proved unlucky for the 13 motorists issued with tickets for parking wrongly in Wisbech town centre.

A spokesperson for Fenland Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “There are plenty of areas for you to park around Wisbech that won’t result in you returning to a ticket from us, so we urge you to utilise these instead, even if it means having to walk a little further to your destination.

“We aim to continue these regular patrols in response to your concerns about the issue. You can report your concerns about anti-social behaviour, including illegal parking, to us on the police website.”
