UPDATE: 50 firefighters tackle blaze at Data Shredders and A141 March bypass closed due to incident




More than 50 firefighters are currently tackling a large fire in Wimblington near the A141 March bypass which is currently closed to traffic.

Drivers are being urged to avoid the area or find an alternative route while the fire crews tackle the blaze at Data Shredders.

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called at just before 10am this morning to a well developed fire on Eastwood Industrial Estate in Wimblington. Crews from around the county, along with crews from Norfolk fire and Lincs Fire and Rescue are at the scene. Please avoid the area where possible."

March bypass is closed between the Manea turn off and Mill Hill roundabout.

Huge plumes of black smoke have been reported by eyewitnesses.
