UPDATE: Four injured in two vehicle crash on A47 at Eye near Peterborough which has now reopened

A two car collision closed the A47 Eye Road and caused long delays through Eye High Street this afternoon, Monday August 10.
The collision took place near Acorn Lodge, Thorney Road, Eye, and the road was closed between Crowland Road and Thorney Road, Eye.
The East of England Ambulance Service said two adults and two children were hurt in the collision.
The injuries are described as minor but one person has been taken to Peterborough City Hospital.
Cambridgeshire police said one car had ended up in a ditch and that there was a large oil spill directly opposite the Thorney Road Eye junction.
The road reopened at about 4.10pm having been closed for several hours.
