A cannabis factory was discovered and a stolen van suspected of being used in rogue trading seized as police raided a caravan site near Peterborough to arrest a teenager for burglary.

Officers from Cambridgeshire police raided the Turf End site in Murrow at 9am today (Wednesday), where they arrested the 17 year-old boy on suspicion of burglary.

While they were at the site the took away a white Citroen van, and found the cannabis factory in a caravan.

The van had been reported stolen.

A police spokesman said: “The 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of burglary, which is said to have taken place on June 20 at Murrow. He is still in custody at Kings Lynn Police Station.

“The van was seized, as it is suspected it has been used in rogue trading. Investigations are ongoing.

“A small cannabis factory, containing about 30 plants was also discovered. One person has been interviewed about the cannabis.”
