Councillors and residents are working hard to make the village an appealing gateway into Lincolnshire.

Coun Jack Tyrrell has helped to organise a decorative boat on the traffic island as visitors enter the county via the bridge.

Sutton Bridge Wombles Andy Tilley and Deanne Gough work tirelessly to keep the area clean and tidy.

A spokesperson from Sutton Bridge Parish Council said: “The railings were reported to us earlier this week as being loose, someone had tried to unscrew them.

“It was reported to the county council and also to the antisocial behaviour team at the district council.

“I believe they then liaise with the police.”

Police have been made aware of the damage.
