Chatteris reader says 'GPs are being a little too slow to return to 100% face to face consultations'
I’m writing in response to Ashley Smith’s letter (about face-to-face GP appointments).
I’m in total agreement with Mr Smith. It’s been a very tough time for everybody over the pandemic.
GPs are being a little too slow to return to 100% face to face consultations for many people.
In the George Clare Surgery in Chatteris things are gradually improving, but still not back to full capacity.
There are now about 10 seats in the actually waiting room.
As mentioned, video/telephone calls are not the ideal for many.
I must say that whilst having to accept these types of consultation, personally I’ve been able to have a number of face to face consultations with a GP, which is great.
I really hope that things rapidly improve for everyone’s sake.
