Parson Drove festival creates special moments

Parson Drove church’s weekend flower festival was special in several ways.

It was the first festival back at Emmanuel Church since 2019 and the chosen theme for the displays and arrangements was Special Moments.

It gave the arrangers plenty of scope to get creative. The displays included a safari holiday, the Olympics, Royal moments and for Isobel and Glyn Johnson memories of the time they renewed their wedding vows on a luxury cruise.

“We had about 10 people, men and women, who arranged the flowers and we provided refreshments and ran a raffle,” said Isobel.

She said the helpers came from the village and outlying areas.

The festival ran on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and any profits will go to church funds.
