Wimblington house fire was accidental




A house fire that saw two fire crews attend to put out has been put down to being caused accidentally.

The incident happened on Friday at Ash Tree Close in Wimblington.

Crews from March and Chatteris attended the incident which happened shortly before 4pm.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and cleared the smoke using a positive-pressure ventilation fan.

The crews returned to their stations by 5.20pm.
