Gallery: Villagers test their strength for Queen and country in Leverington

Villagers literally all pulled together to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee weekend with a picnic and tug-of-war event.

Organised by Leverington Sport and Social Club Friday's event was a fun afternoon for all ages.

There were games as well as races for children.

The tug-of-war competition saw teams of six pit their strength against each other both in the adult and the children's competition.

For the less energetic there were afternoon teas to be enjoyed.

All in all with a bouncy castle too the afternoon was voted a great success by organisers.
