Virtual dog show is hotly contested at Wisbech care home
Rose Lodge staff and residents love their dogs and so as a bit of fun the Wisbech care home held a virtual dog show so friends and family could show off their furry friends.
The virtual dog show was a first for the home and there were a whole host of fun categories including cutest dog and best dressed dog. Residents staff, and relatives were asked to send in pictures of the pooches ahead of the judging.
Group judging took place last Monday (20) and the competition was hotly contested.
Residents and staff had the opportunity to view all the contestants on a board in the reception area prior to judging and completed their voting slips to select their winners.
The Best in Show winner was announced as Bonnie. who belongs to Karen Smith, Rose Lodge housekeeper.
Bonnie won a doggy hamper and certificate.
Meg Jones, general manager , said: “We have been overwhelmed by all of the photos we have received from loved ones and staff showing off their canine friends and we have lots of dog lovers at Rose Lodge who have taken the judging very seriously.
"We are continually adapting, and finding new ways to make sure every effort is focused on creating an enjoyable environment for all of our residents. "We are welcoming new residents to ensuret we are there for those that need care and support, and have a very clear admission policy and infection control protocols."
