Volunteer Fair being held at March church will help those connect with groups looking for helpers

If you like the idea of giving back to the community and helping others then an event being held in March next month could be for you.

The Fenland team of Volunteer Cambridgeshire is hosting a Volunteer Fair at St Peter's Church, on Saturday, February 8, from 10am to 2pm where a variety of groups in need of helpers will be on hand to talk to visitors.

The free, drop-in event invites everyone to explore ways to support their community by connecting with the local groups in need of volunteers.

The fair aims to highlight the many benefits of volunteering, from boosting health and self-esteem to developing new skills and meeting like-minded individuals.

Organisers hope the event will inspire attendees to contribute their time and talents to the causes that resonate with them.

A spokesperson for Volunteer Cambs said: “Volunteering brings so many benefits.

"It is good for your health, helps raise confidence and self-esteem, as well as gaining new skills and meeting like-minded people.

" It is an opportunity for anyone interested in giving a little of their time to support their community to meet groups looking for extra help with their fantastic work. Why not pop along and say hello."
