Sam Stapleton has been raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital after her son Travis underwent life-saving heart surgery three years ago.

Travis was diagnosed with coarctation (narrowing) of the aorta - the body's largest artery.

Without treatment there can be many complications with most of these leading to heart failure.

The renowned London hospital fitted a stent to widen Travis' aorta and then last year he had another procedure to stretch the artery further.

Stuart, known to most as Webbo from Walpole St Andrews, promised he would support her efforts by completing the run on October 14 in Peterborough.

Among people who supported Webbo's run was Banks Barbers in Wisbech and Stuart went along recently to thank them for their backing.

Webbo has previously raised money for CLIC Sargeant, the children's cancer charity, and earlier this year. he completed the Boston Marathon in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.

He completed that run in April to say thank-you for all the help the charity had given his mum Pauline, of Leverington, after she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last November.
