LEARN MOREWest Walton schoolboy Willis Ruff cycled around 10 miles to help boost a local school’s minibus appeal.
The 10-year-old, whose mum Rayner is a teaching assistant at Meadowgate Academy, devised his fundraising mission to help boost the specialist school’ appeal, which aims to raise around £17,000 for a new minibus to transport pupils on trips out.
He completed the round circuit from his West Walton home to the Wisbech school and back on January 4 and was welcomed at Meadowgate by deputy headteacher Michelle Flanz as well as pupils.
Willis, who attends West Walton Primary School hopes to have raised several hundred pounds.
