Police in Chatteris find illegally captured wild bird in cage

Police have saved a wild bird that was being kept in a cage in Chatteris.

They were actually responding to a report of some caged swans which turned out to be geese.

When investigating, they found a goldfinch which had been captured illegally.

The owner was reported and the bird has been handed over to be released to the wild.
