Tiny Soul, which is run by Trace and Ken Brady at St Peter's Church in Wimblington, provides boxes of items including knitwear, soft toys, baby wipes, soap and bibs to organisations that support mums, dads and carers.

They were recently approached for help by the refuge, which provides sanctuary to women escaping abuse, for help and they put together the boxes using items donated by churchgoers and villages.

Many of the knitted items are provided by members of the church's knitting group, but also come from residents. A box inside the church is there for people to donate items which also include dummies, hats and bootees.

In a letter to parishioners thanking them for the donations Trace and Ken explained the boxes are not a "solution" but are a "practical gesture of love" that represent "compassion".

Having filled the boxes, which are donated by Clarks shoe shop in March, Tiny Souls is now appealing for more donations, especially of knitted items including the Tiny Soul Teddy bear which is included in every box. The pattern for the bear is available through Ken and Trace.

Donations can be left in the box at the church to replenish their supplies.. Unfortunately second had items cannot be accepted and nor can cash donations.
