Wisbech Air Cadets are holding a recruitment night highlighting all the fun activities they have to offer

Fancy learning to fly a plane? Enjoy challenges and are looking for something to do during the week, then maybe joining the 272 Wisbech Air Cadets could be the answer.

The group, which meets twice a week, is having a recruitment open evening on Thursday (19) at their headquarters in Sandyland, Wisbech, from 7.30pm and anyone interested in finding out more can go along.

So far this year the cadets have had flying lessons, learned about the Berlin Blockade Duxford, visited the Imperial War Museum in Hendon, gained Duke of Edinburgh Awards and have even taken BTECs in aviation and leadership.

The group also enjoys camping and different sporting competitions. Normal parade nights see members learning team building skills, radio work, model making and first aid training.
