Wisbech brewery hands over £600 donation
Wisbech Brewers, Elgood & Sons, handed over £600 to Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House at the brewery’s Christmas event on December 7.
A raffle held over the course of the weekend raised £278. Prizes included a Christmas cake and Christmas pudding, kindly made and donated by Sheila Wright, of Sutton St James, as well as a selection of items donated by stallholders at the arts and crafts fair.
Further funds were raised from a raffle held at the “Jazz on the Hill” event in June, organised by Dave and Sheila Dyer, of the Wisbech Jazz Club (£255) and various smaller donations.
Rebekah Mills, of the Norfolk Hospice, said: “The Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House is extremely grateful for the continued support provided by everyone at Elgood’s Brewery. During the past year over £1,500 has been raised for the hospice by the staff and visitors at the brewery. All the funds raised go directly to providing vital care to people with life-limiting illnesses in Norfolk and the Fens.”
