Wisbech Cat Haven closes shop but its charity work and sanctuary go on
A Wisbech charity shop opened to help animals in need is to permanently close its doors after 12 years.
Wisbech Cat Haven charity was founded in 1988 and opened its shop on the Market Place in 2008, where it successfully helped raise funds for the charity.
The Cat Haven currently has 63 resident cats including some golden oldies, feral and other pets who have been abandoned.
Tracy Reeve, joint founder of the family run charity said: "Our charity continues and we always need clothes, shoes, handbags, bedding, cat food and money donations to keep our sanctuary going.
"I was misdiagnosed in 2014 and was fighting for my life. I have been in physical recovery ever since. The shop is too much for us now but Cat Haven lives on. I founded the charity with my sister Julie when we were teenagers."
